Artist Statement:

Each object in this “Natura morta” comes with its own story…little discoveries and learnings from friends here and abroad, like where the card game Briscola/Scolpa came from and how the rules change depending on Country, region, or age.  ‘Ciao’ the classic Doppio concentrato di pomodoro, an ingredient celebrating the abundance of the year's tomato crop and ensuring many weeks/months of delicious meals. Vino from Calabria, in Southwest Italy - I'm not about to wine-talk you, just know that it is delicious…and one of my favourite discoveries of the year ‘Mostarda di frutta’…the condiment you never knew you needed. A sweet little vista sweeping you away to Summer in Italy.
