Artists for Kids Culture – making art make a difference.
This festive season, Fenton & Fenton has teamed up with Artists for Kids Culture (AKC) to help raise money for young people in this time of adversity. AKC provides opportunities for children experiencing hardship, believing every child should be supported and have diverse and rewarding experiences.
Fenton & Fenton have committed to raise money for AKC over the festive season and to contribute a grant in 2021. This would allow under priviledged families the opportunity to offer monetary grants that allow children to be involved in artistic, cultural, musical, dramatic, dance and other creative activities.
AKC maintains close networks with social and community workers, schools and child advocacy groups to understand and meet cultural and creative needs of the most vulnerable in communities across Australia. Most commonly known for its major fundraiser the Annual Art Auction, a highly anticipated yearly event, iconic in the Melbourne scene.
Founded by artists who wanted to make a difference – 27 years on, AKC is still changing lives through art and now even have an ARTS BUS – a self contained art studio – bringing art activities to kids for FREE.
In the spirit of giving back to the community this Christmas, we have collaborated with renowned Melbourne artist Silvia Rotundo who we commissioned to create an original artwork to celebrate the festive season. ‘Poinsettias & Pudding’ is inspired by Silvias interpretation of the whimsical and classic festivities of the holiday season.
Fenton & Fenton will be donating all proceeds from the original artwork, prints and greeting cards to Artists for Kids culture initiative.
