Sam Iurada

Samantha's painting journey began in her early teen years growing up in Regional Victoria. Her oil paintings were an abstract interpretation of the rural landscape.

In the early 2000’s Samantha relocated to Far North Queensland living on a sail boat of the coast of The Whitsundays and Port Douglas for 3 years. She spent her time working as a scuba diving instructor, and become constantly inspired to the colourful, fluid beauty of the Great Barrier Reef.

Her pieces today are an abstract interpretation of the underwater landscape. In recent years she has studied the principals of colour in design and her artworks are stories through abstraction, negative space and layering colour. The ocean and its conservation is a huge part of her life and is a con stant source of her creativity.
