The Sydney Wrap

October marked the launch of our first ever pop-up outside of Melbourne. The project, titled ‘A Home Away from Home’ brought together a colourful collection of indoor and outdoor furniture and a curated group art show representing 23 fabulous Australian artists.

We all know that an event like this doesn’t get off the ground without the support of others. So, we wanted to share our gratitude with the creative talent who helped turn our vision into a reality. Read on for more and view our gallery at the end of the post.

Opening Night

With Sonos, we kicked the celebrations off with a night of shared food and shared tunes, starting in our space at The Studio Rosebery and meandering on to Three Blue Ducks next door. Guests enjoyed aperitivo’s by Picco with an Italian inspired cocktail ‘The Picco Garibaldi’ , playlists created by a host of artists and friends of fenton&fenton and Sonos, and a delicious menu of local ingredients by Mark Labrooy and Darren Robertson of Three Blue Ducks.

10 Days of Colourful Fun

The next day we opened the doors to Sydney-siders for the very first time and we had a blast. Over 10 days, we celebrated with a series of events, from our Housewarming Party and fabulous tunes by Alice Q to a series of talks and Insider Secrets facilitated by Real Living.

We launched our first ever custom colour collaboration with the clever people at Bauwerk Paint. Inspired by the places our creative collaborators have been and love.

And, we zipped around Sydney in custom art-wrapped Mini Clubman’s thanks to Mini Australia It was really tough handing the keys back.

With our Moroccan inspired riad backdrop, we launched a fun and colourful collection of rope furniture, just in time for the entertaining season.

Sydney Group Art Show

At the heart of what we do at f&f is to try and make art accessible to everyone. Art has always been integral to what we offer and is such a powerful way to transform a space and add personality. We can’t thank our artists enough for the fabulous collection of over 70 pieces that formed our Sydney group show.
