A Home in Full Colour
Welcome to Joy Haus.
Designed by Studio Shields, this richly layered family home is a celebration of colour, art and individuality.
Golden olive, burnt orange, merlot and powder blue move confidently from room to room, layered with tactile finishes, sculptural forms and unexpected details. Colour isn't simply added to the space, it's embedded within it.
For our latest Home Tour, we stepped inside and made ourselves at home, adding a Fenton & Fenton mix of furniture, art and objects to an interior already brimming with personality.

COLOUR, ROOM BY ROOM
At Joy Haus, colour sets the rhythm.
Rather than following a single palette, shades shift and reappear throughout the home. Golden olive meets merlot. Burnt orange sits alongside powder blue. Pink, burgundy and earthy tones appear in unexpected places.
Our edit follows the same instinct, repeating colour without matching it, and layering pieces that bring their own personality to the room.
The result feels collected rather than coordinated.

THE ART OF THE MIX
There are no hard rules here.
Sculptural furniture sits alongside expressive art. Statement rugs ground generous sofas, while glass, ceramics, lighting and playful objects add personality in smaller doses.
It's a mix of colour, shape and texture that feels confident without feeling overly considered.
The secret? Start with pieces you love and let the room build from there.

TABLE TALK
Good things happen around the table.
The dining spaces continue Joy Haus's playful approach, layering rich colour with sculptural furniture and unexpected objects.
It's made for the way we like to live - long lunches, lively dinners and plenty of room for one more.

COLOUR, IN BED
The bedroom is no place to play it safe.
Statement beds, colourful rugs, sculptural bedside tables, art and lighting give each bedroom its own distinct personality.
From golden olive and burnt orange to powder blue and burgundy, colour remains central, proving a bedroom can feel restful without fading into the background.

ART AT EVERY TURN
Art is part of the conversation at Joy Haus.
Bold figurative works, expressive abstraction and unexpected colour appear throughout the home, adding another layer to each space.
Rather than matching art to the room, the most interesting pairings play with contrast.
Because sometimes the piece that shouldn't quite work is exactly the one that does.

MAKE YOURSELF AT HOME
Joy Haus is a reminder that the most interesting homes don't follow a formula.
Choose the colours you love. Mix shapes, textures and styles. Hang art that speaks to you. Add something unexpected. Then let it evolve.
A home should feel collected, lived in and unmistakably yours.
