Mums of a Kind

Mums of a Kind

On the Couch with Lindy, Frankie & Goldie

Meet our Mum of a Kind, Lindy Klim – model, entrepreneur, content creator and mum to Stella, Rocco, Frankie and Goldie.

After years abroad, this new chapter, shared with her children feels like a gentle reset. Mornings unfold unhurriedly, weekends are rarely spent elsewhere, and home has become both anchor and creative outlet.

“It’s really special,” Lindy says. “We’re all together again. We’re just enjoying being here.”

We spent the morning with Lindy and her daughters Frankie and Goldie, capturing a lived-in snapshot of family life, and the evolving space around them.

How would you describe your style in three words?

“I’d probably need more than three words,” she laughs. “But understated, chic… and maybe a little masculine.”

From the sidelines, Goldie offers her own take: “Elegant. Nice. Pretty.”

What does home mean to you right now?

Right now, it’s this - being at home with my kids. We’re all living under one roof for the first time in a long time, and it feels really special. We’re enjoying being here together in Melbourne.

What is your favourite thing about being a mum right now?

Watching the kids grow into themselves. They’re constantly evolving.

Frankie is incredibly creative. I can see that more and more. And Goldie… she keeps us laughing most of the time. It’s just really special seeing their personalities come through.

What is your favourite thing about your mum?

Goldie: I like your cooking!
Frankie: I love how she’s always so kind and caring. When I’m upset, she gives me a hug.

How has motherhood shaped the way you design your home?

It’s made everything more practical. I went through a very neutral, beige phase, but having kids quickly changed that. Now it’s about pieces that are durable, forgiving, and spaces that actually work for the whole family.

What are your non-negotiables in a family space?

The kitchen is everything for us. A great kitchen and a big bench, the kids are always sitting there doing homework while I cook.

And a big, comfortable sofa. Somewhere we can all pile on, watching TV, scrolling, reading.

What makes something feel like a forever piece?

Honestly, I don’t have many yet. I’ve started again in Australia and left everything behind in Bali; so right now, it’s about collecting as we go.

What have your kids taught you about creativity or style?

So much. Especially Frankie. She has this incredible confidence in her creativity.

If someone asked me to draw, I’d hesitate, but the kids just sit down and create without any fear. I really admire that.

What has your mum taught you about style?

Goldie: How you style clothes, and how you tuck your top. And your red heels!
Frankie:
She made me like jeans. I used to hate them, now I love them.
Lindy:
We’re definitely a denim family!

What drew you to the pieces in your home right now?

This is a fresh chapter for me. I wanted more colour, more personality.

We’ve chosen pieces I never would have picked before. It feels bolder, louder, and a lot more fun.

What piece in your home sparks the most conversation?

The blue dining table. I love it.

I never imagined having a baby blue table, but it works, and I can’t wait to enjoy many family meals around it.

Do you have any favourite pieces in your home?

Frankie: Probably the couch. I never thought Mum would pick this colour, but it’s really nice and comfortable.

What is your favourite moment at home?

Sunday mornings. Slow starts, a good breakfast, everyone together, and then a big family roast in the afternoon.

What’s currently on your wishlist?

We’re looking for some fun, functional pieces for the kids, especially a space where they can hang out and do homework. That’s next.

Whose home would you love to spend a weekend in?

Honestly, ours. I love being here. I feel really lucky we get to spend our weekends together at home.

How would you describe your family in one word?

Lindy: Fun.
Goldie:
Crafty.
Frankie:
Homey.
