Marissa Lico - La Melagrana

34 x 40 cm
Acrylic on Handmade Paper
Framed in Oak

Artist Statement:

There is something generous about a pomegranate, the way it holds so much inside and gives it all away once opened. La Melagrana is an acrylic original on handmade paper, layered in rust, terracotta, and burnished gold, drawing on the Italian tradition of the pomegranate as a symbol of abundance and good fortune. An intimate work for the wall that carries the warmth of late autumn and the promise of plenty
