Fenton & Fenton is proud to present Wild Echoes, a captivating joint exhibition by artists Nathalia Suizu and Javiera Gart, running this winter at Fenton & Fenton.
This powerful pairing brings together two distinctive artistic voices connected by their exploration of intuition, symbolism, and emotional memory. Wild Echoes invites audiences into a world where primal instinct meets personal expression, where the wild within is given visual form through painting, colour, and cultural reflection.
About the Artists
Nathalia Suizu draws inspiration from ancient mythologies and the spiritual significance of animals across cultures. Her work examines how creatures such as owls, bears and eagles have long served as sacred symbols—guiding forces that bridge the worlds of instinct and intellect, dream and reality. In her richly symbolic compositions, animals are not just subjects but archetypes—representing the timeless connection between human and nature, the earthly and the divine.
Javiera Gart, originally from Santiago de Chile, presents emotionally charged paintings rooted in figuration and abstraction. With a practice shaped by her experiences across Latin America, Australia, Europe, and North America, Gart’s work reflects a deep engagement with place, cultural narrative, and internal emotional landscapes. Influenced by the female form and the process of self-discovery, her paintings are a study in colour, vulnerability and personal atmosphere—an invitation into the quiet intensity of the everyday.
Together, Suizu and Gart form a compelling conversation—one that transcends language and place, speaking instead through symbols, energy and feeling. Wild Echoes explores what it means to be human in relation to the natural and the sacred, the physical and the emotional.
