ARTIST BIO

Elizabeth Lewis

Elizabeth Lewis is an artist working in expanded ceramics, having completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts with Honours at UNSW Art + Design in 2020 minoring in painting and ceramics.

A Kil.n.it Studios alumni, she recently undertook an artist residency at Guldagergaard International Ceramic Research Centre in Denmark, and has been living and working in Copenhagen throughout 2024.

Her work is characterised by hard-to-grasp feelings of curiosity and nostalgia, resulting in highly stylised objects and vessels.

These speculative objects connect to modern mythology, ruin and apocalypse through playful design. She has recently exhibited as part of Dutch Design Week 2023, Southern Sweden Design Days 2024, and with Michael Reid Murrurundi
