ARTIST BIO

Giorgia McRae

McRae is an emerging, abstract living and working on Gadigal land in Sydney, Australia.

Working predominantly with metal and steel, McRae creates geometric compositions, abstracting both imagined still life and human form.

In her work, she explores both tangible and intellectual need for order by articulating the contrast between sharp, minimal line and negative space.

Her steel compositions, intentionally bereft of background often traverse the line between two- and three-dimensional order.
