Krystal Bradford

Krystal Bradford is a Brisbane-based artist known for her expressive abstract paintings, rich with raw emotion and tactile energy. She holds a background in Visual Art (Fine Art) and a postgraduate degree in Secondary Education, allowing her to move fluidly between her roles as a practicing artist and visual art educator.

Working from her purpose-built home studio, Bradford creates large-scale works that hum with intuitive mark-making, bold forms, and a deep sensitivity to texture and surface.

Rooted in earthy, raw and grounded colour palettes, Bradford’s practice explores space and shape through a mix of drawing, textiles, and mixed media. Her compositions are instinctive and emotive - where symbols of childhood to adulthood become visual anchors for memory, connection, and inner landscapes. Bradford’s work navigates the push and pull between stillness and movement, solitude and belonging. It’s art that feels lived-in - honest, physical, and quietly powerful.
