Parita Thakkar is an Australian still life artist based in Perth. Her work explores the quiet beauty of everyday objects - fruit, vessels, glassware, and flowers - drawn from moments of domestic familiarity.
Working with a rich, earthy palette, she creates compositions that feel both moody and luminous. Light plays a central role in her practice, with soft highlights and shadow used to evoke warmth, stillness, and a sense of intimacy.
Her paintings are less about the objects themselves and more about the feeling they hold memory, comfort, and the quiet rituals of home. Inspired by the interplay of light, colour, and form, each piece invites the viewer to slow down and connect with the present moment.
Her work is designed to sit naturally within interiors, bringing depth, softness, and a sense of calm to a space.
