Insider Secrets with
Armelle Habib

If you are a long time friend of fenton&fenton, then you are probably familiar with Armelle's incredible talent behind the lens. We have shot countless interiors and homes with Armelle and it's her inherent wanderlust that became the catalyst for a career as a lifestyle and interiors photographer, an ever present factor that continues to influence her work today.

Whilst focusing on interiors, travel, people and food, Armelle is renowned for her love of natural light, uncomplicated compositions and for capturing moments in time that are both captivating and candid.

Here, we get acquainted with Armelle with a new series 'Insider Secrets with …', where we ask a quick series of style and homely related questions.

In doing so, we learnt that Armelle has an enviable sense of style, is dreaming up her perfect renovation and loves colour and mixing styles as much as we do.

Keep reading for a glimpse inside her incredibly photogenic studio and some snaps of the equally photogenic lady behind the lens, some snippets of where she lives and a series of images that showcase her captivating storytelling skills.

Home is:  We live in a renovation project so are dreaming up big plans for the house and walking over rubble is a daily event.

My personal style in three words: Minimal, different, colour.

My latest splurge: A collage by artist Aylsa McHugh @aylsa_mchugh titled: Untitled No 1. Aylsa’s next show is at Neon Parlour, Thornbury, October 22, 2018.

On my coffee table you’ll find: A strong coffee, a stack of Apartamento magazines and Buzz Lightyear (my 3 year olds).

On my fenton&fenton wishlist: Black and white bone inlay side table, it’s a perfect match for the graphic block print throw I just bought in Marrakech.

My ideal escape: Time away from my computer somewhere hot and tropical (Indonesia in a couple of weeks).

'Bathers' Photographed by me in Italy… its one of my favourite images.
The colour and composition of scattered people is busy but organised,
The rocks are still hot under my feet, I want to be there every time I look at it.

I'm not usually one for reds but love the saturated colours in this busy and eclectic room. Every piece of furniture looks like it has a story.
